ProcessLogix R500.1 Service Pack 1 3

Server Installation

You must complete this procedure on all Servers in your ProcessLogix

system. If you have a redundant server pair, you must complete the

following procedure on SERVERB first, then repeat the procedure for

SERVERA. Before installing R500.1 SP1 on SERVERB, be certain that

SERVERA is the Primary Server and the Servers are synchronized.

1. Close all running applications.

2. Click Star t ⇒ Pr ogr am s ⇒ ProcessLogix Server ⇒ Start-Stop

ProcessLogix Server to call up the ProcessLogix Server dialog

box.

3. With the Full Mode version of the dialog box active, select the

Database Unloaded option.

4. Click Yes to confirm the action and wait for the Server to change

its state.

5. Close the ProcessLogix Server dialog box.

6. Insert the ProcessLogix R500.1 Service Pack 1 CD into the

CD-ROM drive.

7. Click Star t ⇒ Run .

8. Enter this path or Br o w se to:

>D:(or your CD-ROM drive letter)\SP1\Server-Client\setup.exe<

9. Click OK to launch the software setup application.

10. At the Welcome window, click Ne x t .

11. At the Destination Folder window, click Ne x t .

TIP

If a warning dialog opens during installation

indicating "The event subsystem updates were not

applied successfully", complete the service pack

installation and then complete the

Manually

Applying the Event Subsystem Updates on page 6.

TIP

To display the Full Mode version of the ProcessLogix

Server dialog box, click the icon on the left of the

title bar and click Advanced

⇒ Full Mo de.

A checkmark appears in front of the Full Mode

selection to show that it is active.
